Yuanshan Children's Park

This project transformed a former training ground for the Taiwanese military into a park for children. In response to nearby Yuanshan Mountain, where a shrine was once built by the Japanese, a mountain-like semi-external vaulted space made of concrete was created to allow for a variety of uses, including events and exercise. The building and landscape were considered as one, and visitors could climb to the roof as if climbing a mountain, and then continue on up the tower, enjoying the various views from there, until they reached an observation deck 22m above ground that allowed them to see the confluence of three rivers.
