礁溪小学校地下駐車場・運動場

Jiaoxi Primary School’s Elevated Sports Field & Underground Parking

小学校の地下に公共駐車場を作るプロジェクト。地上の校庭スラブと擁壁の隙間を大きくとり、地下2階まで自然光の入る明るい駐車場となっている。

幅広の地下遊歩道は日中、学校校舎と直接つながることで、生徒の送り迎えができるスペースにもなり、雨の多い宜蘭ならではの公共駐車場の風景をつくっている。校庭は交通量の多い前面道路から1mほど高くし、安全性を確保するとともに街と学校の距離感を調整している。街の中心方面への出入口は、地形を感じる階段によって大きく開かれている。

This project features a public parking facility beneath an elementary school. A generous space between the playground slab and retaining walls allows natural light to penetrate down to the second basement level, creating a bright and welcoming environment.

The wide underground passageway, which connects directly to the school building during daytime hours, serves as a convenient drop-off and pick-up area for students - a thoughtful design element particularly suited to Yilan's rainy climate. The playground is elevated one meter above the busy street level, not only ensuring student safety but also creating an appropriate spatial relationship between the school and the surrounding urban environment. The main entrance facing the city center features a grand staircase that harmoniously follows the natural topography.
